Sydney Royal Easter Show - 5-18 April 2012Cows’ milk and dairy products have been an important part of the human diet for thousands of years, and this pavilion gives a fascinating insight into the process of getting milk from a cow.
At the Dairy Farmers Milking Barn, you can watch cows being milked by hand in the time-honoured tradition, find out just what a cow eats to keep it healthy and productive and watch a demonstration of milk separating and butter churning – and kids can help to hand milk one of Luke and Jess’s gentle, good-natured cows.
