Grand Parade 2012

For sheer spectacle, display and entertainment, there’s nothing like the Show’s iconic Grand Parades. Held in the Commonwealth Bank Arena, these parades feature the best of the best – the winners of the animal competitions and competitive events held throughout the Show. 

There’ll be prize-winning cattle, dogs, sheep, goats and woodchoppers and the handsomest horses. Make sure you’re in the audience for this spectacular event, as the ringmaster controls the finest display of Australian agriculture.

Evening Harness Parade

Step back in time as horse-drawn antique vehicles strut their stuff in the Commonwealth Bank Arena. Come along and discover how these heritage light harness buggies and heavy harness vehicles operated back in the day.

Australia’s finest will re-create scenes from early 1900’s industry such as horse drawn postal and bakery delivery vehicles. Drivers also join in on the parade, dressed in authentic clothing from that era.
The parade is judged on the most stand-out display in the parade

Dairy Cattle Parade

Junior, Intermediate and Senior Champion Dairy Females will parade with the Supreme Dairy Cow being highlighted on this evening.

Each category will display six cattle breeds including Holstein, Ayrshire, Jersey, Guernsey, Brown Swiss and Illawarra.  Come along and see these amazing animals.
