Entertainment

It’s Showtime. There’s fun, laughs, action, thrills and non stop entertainment in store at the 2012 Sydney Royal Easter Show with performances to captivate Showgoers of all ages.

The new Showtime Spectacular evening program presents some of Australia’s best and most exciting entertainment. James Blundell, an Australian country music icon, will host Showtime Spectacular and promises to take you on a journey full of drama, colour and live music.

The Show kicks off every night in the Commonwealth Bank Arena with the Sydney Royal Rodeo Series - Australia’s only international rodeo, which is enhanced this year by a new giant screen and state-of-the-art sound and lighting system.

Next up, the RAS Stockmens’ Ride is a stunning display of horsemanship, with 24 stockmen performing synchronised manoeuvres accompanied by the live NSW Police Band.  The ShowTime Freestyle MotoX promises to be a standout event at this year’s Show, welcoming a new daredevil to the team, who will perform a 360 degree aerial backflip on a quad bike – a first in Australia.

Showtime Spectacular closes each night with Colours of the Outback Pyromusical, a uniquely Australian, explosive pyrotechnical experience that promises to paint the night sky to the beat of eMDee – the hottest new band to emerge from Australia’s top end.

Delight in Circus Circus, a new production from the acclaimed Ashton Family Circus with music and special effects adding a twist to the traditional circus skills. Then runaway to the circus at the free Circus Workshops in The Park.

The UniProShow is a one-man show featuring a world champion unicyclist and fire juggler who also works comedy into his act. Sinbad: In Search of the Golden Pineapple High Dive Show tells the enthralling story of the adventures of Sinbad with displays of diving skill that will have you gasping.
